Taukit
DIAGNOSE WITH TAUKIT
PRINCIPLES OF TAUKIT®
- The mechanism of action taukit® is based on the strong urease activity of Helicobacter pylori.
- In the presence of urease produced by Helicobacter pylori, the marked 13c ingested urea is hydrolyzed to ammonium and carbon dioxide .
- The carbon dioxide will be absorbed into the bloodstream and transported to the lungs and finally expired.
THE IMPORTANCE OF CITRIC ACID
For proper completion of the test, it is recommended to administer previously a standard solution of citric acid, citral pylori®, which is supplied with taukit®. the solution increases assay sensitivity by stimulating the urease activity of Helicobacter pylori and delaying gastric emptying.
