Soludia Maghreb participated to the 51st edition of ERA-EDTA congress from 31st Mai to 3rd june 2014.

ERA- EDTA is an association of physicians with over 6000 members. It is registered in England and Wales, but its area of activity mainly covers Europe and the Mediterranean area.
Our objective is the advancement of medical science and of clinical work in nephrology, dialysis, renal transplantation, hypertension and related subjects. We aim at providing up-to-date knowledge, exclusively based on scientific data, independent from governments’ policies and from any influence of the industry.

Since 2007, Soludia Maghreb participates to this congress with a stand where Soludia presents its products, innovations as well as its quality policy.

Acute effect of citrate bath on postdialysis alkalaemia

The correction of metabolic acidosis caused by renal failure is achieved by adding bicarbonate during dialysis. In order to avoid the precipitation of calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate that takes place in the dialysis fluid (DF) when adding bicarbonate, it is necessary to add an acid, usually acetate, which is not free of side effects. Thus, citrate appears as an advantageous alternative to acetate, despite the fact that its acute effects are not accurately known.
